Grim Fandango

Derin konulara girmeden ilk yazımın eğlenceli bir yazı olmasını istedim. İlk anlatacağım konu "Grim Fandango - An Epic Tale of Crime and Corruption in the Land of the Dead".

Before going into deep subjects, i prefered to have my first post to be something enjoyable. My first subject is "Grim Fandango - An Epic Tale of Crime and Corruption in the Land of the Dead".

Grim Fandango yıllar önce yayınlanmış bir oyun. Çok başarılı bir click and point adventure. Başta Lucas Arts olmak üzere tüm emeği geçenleri tebrik etmek lazım.

Grim Fandango is a game published years ago. It is a very succesful click and point adventure. All participants into the project should be congratulated, especially Lucas Arts.

Oyun ölüler diyarında geçiyor ve ölümü çok mizahi bir biçimde ele alıyor. Ölümü, bu dünyadan diğer dünyaya geçiş yolculuğu olarak tanımlamanın ötesinde çok ince espriler ile ölümü yaşamsallaştırılıyor.

En kaydadeğer esprilerden biri ise ölüleri öldürünce, ölen ölülerin çiçek açıyor olması. Bu yorumu bile ölümün ve yaşamın ne kadar iç içe girdiğini anlatıyor. İkisinin birbiri içinde geçen döngüler olması hangisinin hangisini takip ettiğini sorgulamamıza bile yol açıyor.

The game is taking place in the Land of the Dead and death is handled in a very humorous way. Death is defined as a trip from this world to the other and death is vitalized using very smart jokes.

One of the smartest joke is that when a dead is killed it sprouts. This interpratation describes the interrelation of the death and life. It makes us question which one is following the other.

Artık oyunu satın almak mümkün müdür bilmiyorum ama internette indirilebilir kopyaları gezmekte. Kesinlikle oynanması, çözülmesi gereken bir oyun. Ölümle eğlenceli bir tanışma yolu. Ya da ölüm temasını bir kenara koyup gülüp eğlenmek ve güzel zaman geçirmek için oynanmalı. Her oyuncunun denemesi gereken bir oyun.

I am not sure if the game is still availiable for purchase but there are downloadable copies in the internet. A game that must be played and solved. A fun way to get acquianted with death. Or just leave the theme of death aside and have fun and good time. A must game for all gamers.
